Key Responsibilities:

Assist MosArt Clients and colleagues with optimising Heating, Cooling, Domestic Hot Water & Ventilation approaches, to meet Passive House on large scale projects – mostly residential (100+ units) with some non-residential

Interpret MEP schematics and layout drawings submitted by MEP Designers and advise colleagues on the appropriate inputs for the PHPP models

Provide high level technical support to MosArt clients and colleagues on MEP systems and market trends in such systems

Coordinate the flow of MEP documentation from the MEP designers to the Passive House Certifiers, to ensure that the necessary documentation is available to ensure that Passive House Certification can be completed.
The ideal candidate would have the following:

Good communication skills, with the ability to bring others onboard with their ideas

Strong analytical and problem solving abilities

Strong commercial awareness and a keen interest in Sustainability

Solid understanding of heat pump systems in modern buildings is a considerable advantage
-
An understanding of the MEP servicing approaches for Passive House buildings - this would be a distinct advantage
-
Experience in PHPP – this would be a distinct advantage but is not necessary as full training will be provided

Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel/Word, as a minimum

Working knowledge of Revit, would be an advantage but not necessary
Educational Requirements:

Level 7 degree in Building Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other relevant qualification

Trade Qualified Plumbers (or similar) will also be considered, where there is a strong understanding of the engineering principles applied to heating, cooling and domestic hot water systems

Working hours 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday & .8:30am to 1pm on Friday. It’s very important to us that staff don’t work additional hours if at all possible
