This proposal comprises a conceptual master plan layout for a mixed use development. The range of uses proposed for this development, including a hotel, golf and leisure, active living with various facilities, outdoor pursuits and the active environmental learning centre, were carefully selected to achieve balance, integration and complementarity. These diverse attractions are intended to retain visitors and, of course, residents and, thus, help reduce car movement on public roads. The proposed development will also relate well to and stimulate the local context, especially the adjacent urban centre, socio-economically and culturally. are optimally suited to large complexes with varied energy requirements. The inclusion of an Active Environmental Learning Centre will prove a key tourist attraction, providing a distinctive and unique landmark at a national scale.
