Typical off-shore wind farm assessment context. MosArt have carried out landscape and visual impact assessment of three proposed offshore wind farms in the Irish Sea at Arklow Bank, Codling Bank and Oriel (north east of Clogher Head).

The project at Arklow Bank may eventually involve approximately 200 turbines generating 520MW of electricity, enough energy to supply around 10% of Ireland’s total needs. Currently there are 7 operational turbines in situ. The wind farm would be located 7km offshore and stretch over a distance of over 25k
