2007 - WOODLAND GARDEN, ENNISKERRY
This private house has breath taking views overlooking a river valley. A series of low retaining walls allowed for a terrace from the house which commands steep views down to the water edge. A riverside walk and a rope bridge also create opportunities to enjoy the water amenity. Earth mounding and dense planting meant an enclosed, private and lush garden was created (despite close proximity to a busy road). High quality materials and a subtle lighting scheme were used and where ever possible original features, such as existing stone walls and a sunken garden were retained.
