| Following a competitive tender process MosArt were appointed by Dublin City Council in February 2008 to prepare a masterplan for upgrading Bushy Park located in Terenure Dublin 6. The first stage of this project, was heavily focused on consultation with park users, local residents and stakeholder groups to ensure any proposals reflected the issues and desires of the very people who will be affected by them. Our own analysis, backed up by survey data, suggests that Bushy Park is fundamentally a successful and well used park at present. The challenge for the masterplan therefore was to address the identified issues and short fallings, whilst maintaining and enhancing the already successful aspects of the park. The masterplan prioritizes short and long term upgrade measures against the backdrop of a limited but regular allocation of funding for works and provides a design direction for Bushy Park for the foreseeable future |
